New House.... Again. For the Last Time.

This.... is the house I will be living in next year.

The Lake House fell through when the city of Lynchburg learned that there would be 5 unrelated girls living there; to have more than 3 unrelated girls in a house in Lynchburg is not allowed. So, about a week ago, we split up, and 3 of us started searching for another place to rent in the middle of having to study for OB and 6 finals. In the nursing world, this would be considered "a stressor". In the nursing student world, it's considered "AAAHHHH! NO TIME! NOW I'M GOING TO FAIL EVERYTHING!"

After searching around and looking at many houses, we finally found the one that would be our home for the next 12 months. It's in a quiet neighborhood just 10 minutes from campus, if you hit all the red lights, and probably 10 minutes from the hospital as well.

Here's the house:

As you walk into the living room, there's a cute little shelf that is also a door to the attic. One of my housemates will have her bedroom up there.

There's even a small porch off the attic (with no stairs off of it) and plenty of storage space. Here's a picture taken from the porch looking towards the bedroom and stairs to the living room.
Down the hallway from the living room is my room.

If you walk straight out of my room, you'll head into the kitchen. (No pictures of my other housemate's room just to the left of the kitchen door.) We'll get to the kitchen later. First, if you turn to the left and go into the room next to mine, there is a spare room that leads into the laundry room. The laundry room leads into the sun room, and the sunroom has a door to the back yard.

Sorry about the strange dots from the flash. I was taking quick pictures. The doorway there to the right goes to the laundry room.

Here's our (one and only) bathroom: (if you looked through that window, you'd be looking into the sun room.)

Here's the kitchen. The colors in this house are so nice!

The other door off of the kitchen goes into the dining room:

We were thrilled to see that it was a swinging door :)

The dining room:

And we're back to the living room!

That's it! It's a beautiful house and it will be nice to live in next year. But for now, it's time to put my nose back into my ATI book!

Sorry the Lake House fell through.
This one looks nice, clean and very roomy, except for the bathroom. Should be fun for 5 girls to share. The "Franklin Girls" did it for YEARS!
You will have stories to tell for sure.
love you,
grandmom
